When a group of instrument players come together and play music as one unit, they are often referred to as a band. There are different types of bands that may be formed. There are marching bands at school, orchestra bands for shows and there are also rock bands which are common among teenagers.
The most typical instruments used in these bands may differ but the types are always the same. These include the string instruments, percussion instruments, and wind instruments as well. The guitar is one of the most popular string instruments used by amateur bands. It is easy to learn and convenient to play as well. Guitars can make music through strumming the strings.
Drums are also used as percussion instruments. A band would usually use more than one drum and they usually put together different types of drums to create a set. This drum set can produce high or low percussions sounds depending on the type of drum being hit.
A keyboard, a piano or an organ is also pretty common in bands. It can create the background melody and can go well with the vocalist. Some bands especially the jazz ones have saxophones and other wind instruments to complement their style of music.
